Carpet Unboxed deals in commercial modular carpet tile — the 50 cm square, heavy-contract product specified for offices, schools, housing and public buildings. Most of what we list has never left its box. It was ordered for a job, delivered to a job, and then never needed, because the cutting allowance was generous or the room count changed late in the programme.

Every listing records the things a flooring buyer actually asks about before committing: the manufacturer, the range, the colourway or dye lot, the quantity in square metres, and where the pallets are standing right now. Stock that cannot be described to that standard does not go on the feed, because a listing nobody can verify wastes everybody's time.

Quantities vary from a few boxes of maintenance spares to several thousand square metres of manufacturer surplus. Small lots matter as much as large ones — a repairs team patching a corridor needs twenty square metres of a discontinued range far more urgently than it needs a pallet.

Surplus carpet tile has never had anywhere sensible to go. It moves by phone call, by WhatsApp photo, by someone remembering that a colleague on another site was short — or it does not move at all, and the pallets are eventually cleared to make room. The material is rarely the problem. The problem is that the person holding it and the person who needs it have no way of finding each other.
